100 Years of Extension Celebration & 4-H Volunteer Recognition Program
The Ohio State University Extension is celebrating its 100th year. Counties around the state have been holding celebrations throughout the year reminiscing the past 100 years, and looking forward into the future. It is now Lorain County’s turn to hold their celebration event. In planning for this event, we have heard many interesting stories of individuals and activities that have happened through the 100 years. Many of us have family and friends that were either Extension employees, or Volunteers through Extension, and we have our own stories and memories to share. Lorain County’s Celebration will take place on November 6, 2014 at Fair Hall, on the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington, Ohio. The event will begin at 5 p.m. for those who would like to come early and connect with old friends and talk about what they remember through the years. We will have a catered meal beginning at 7 p.m. During the evening the awards to the 4-H Clubs and celebration of years of service for 4-H Volunteers will be given, along with Extension Celebration. The evening will end with the 2014 Lorain County Fair slideshow presented by Mr. Dan Messaros. The evening events are sponsored by the Lorain County 4-H Advisory Committee, and is planned to have something for everyone.
