Welcome to Lorain County, Family and Consumer Sciences programs!  We strive to offer programs which are focused on helping people to improve their lives through research-based information.

          - Family Nutrition Program
          - Expanded Food and Nutrition Education

     - Food Safety
          - Serving Safe Food: Employee Food Safety Training  -  The Serving Safe Food program enhances
            employee understanding of food safety's major priciples, including handling food through receiving,
            storing, preparing and serving.  A 6-hour cource taught by a certified ServSafe^TM Instructor.  Provides
            certificate of Completion.
            Please Note: Feb. 26, 2008 Class has been rescheduled for April 30, 2008

          - ServSafe^TM Food Safety Training and Certification  -  This course is designed to provide Food Service
            Manager's with updated principles of safe food handling.  It is open to all levels of employees.  A
            16-hour class taught by a certified ServSafe^TM Instructor provides certification through the National
            Restaurant Association and certification in Food Protection from the Ohio Department of Health.

       Post-Bankruptcy Debtor Education class meets the requirements for pre-discharge
       bankruptcy education as required by the US Trustees Office.
