    WORKSHOP 8: ZONING, TAXES, AND LEVIES FOR THE PUBLIC OFFICIAL Taught by Lynda Bowers, Lafayette Township Trustee and Mike Kovack, Medina County Auditor.  WHAT IS GOVERNMENT ACADEMY? The Government Academy is a series of classes offered through the OSU Extension Medina County and Leadership Medina County for individuals interested in learning about the mechanics and philosophies that impact government action. Classes are taught by experts and faculty from The Ohio State University, local attorneys, elected officials and subject matter experts.

    Applying Introduction to Grant Writing skills and for new grant writers, members of the class will complete a grant application from beginning to end!

    Join the Lorain County 4-H Advisory Committee at their 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off!  Come help support Lorain County 4-H to ‘make the best better’ for our youth while judging chili from local businesses/clubs and socializing with fellow 4-H supporters! This event will take place from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5th at Carlisle Township Hall (Old Fire Station), 11969 St. Rt. 301, Elyria.  Drinks and coffee will be available for purchase. Donations will be accepted at the door with all proceeds from the event benefitting the Lorain County 4-H Program.  To enter the Chili Cook-Off there is an entry fee of $10.  Click here for entry form and additional information.
