Times:
Participants attend/sign-up 9:00-12:00p
- Horse, Dog, Goat, Swine, Cat, Cavy
Participants attend/sign-up 1:00-4:00p
- Rabbit, Fowl, Beef, Dairy, Sheep
If you are doing more than one skillathon, please sign in for all of them before beginning and let the adults know that you will come back as you finish your other skillathons so we know to wait for you!
Skillathon is MANDATORY:
- For Premier Exhibitor
- Clubs/Chapters with 100% attendance will:
o Receive their club enrollment fee back or equivalent ($20)
o Be put into a drawing to be reimbursed for all member activity fees or equivalent ($10/youth)
o *Awards sponsored by Lorain County Agricultural Society*
There will be a make-up test option for those who are unable to attend skillathon. In order to be eligible for the test, participants must submit a letter or email, with acceptable reasons why they cannot attend, to the Extension Office by June 2nd, 2017. The office will then set up a time for the participant to come take the make-up test.
New Competition:
Come showcase your knowledge! Participate in the new Knowledge Bowl Competitions (Small and Large Animal). Youth will take as many of the species’ Skillathons as they can and will be legible for prizes. The highest average score will win in each category. Youth do not have to be taking the project to be eligible (book scores will not be considered for this competition). For questions contact: Lizz Share at share.8@osu.edu .
