Upcoming Training Opportunities

Does your Private Pesticide Applicator’s License expire on March 31, 2019?  If so, the Lorain County Extension office will be hosting two re-certification sessions for private pesticide applicators on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Lorain County Extension Office.  Each session will offer 3 credits for pesticide re-certification for CORE and Categories (1-6). The cost of this session is $35 per registrant. Sessions are limited to first 50 paid registrations.

Does your Fertilizer Certification expire on March 31, 2019 or May 31, 2019?  If so, a fertilizer re-certification session will be held immediately following the pesticide re-certification sessions.  January 17th  from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and February 14th from 4:00-5:00 p.m..  These sessions will allow farmers to renew their fertilizer certification (for farmers who apply commercial fertilizer to 50 or more acres).  The cost of this session is $10 per registrant.

Pre-registration is required one week prior to each class!  A late fee of $25 will be added for any registrations made less than one week prior to class.  Registration includes refreshments, speaker travel expenses, and program handouts.  Click here for complete information and registration form.
